My wife and I purchased an amazing piece of land here on the mid north coast with a view to build our “Dream Home “and move out of Sydney.
Seeing first hand some of the issue’s neighbours had with builders in our old street we were doing our best to research local builders to ensure we were comfortable with their skills and advice.
Emails going back and forth, looking over brochures, trying to view completed works to see who and what was on offer. After a lunch with a very close friend (an accomplished tradie himself) who had not long moved back to the area, he suggested Mick Ainsworth.
So, on that recommendation we met with Mick and showed him our best attempt at a working drawing of what we had in mind, something a little out of the ordinary. Well from that first encounter it was so easy to discuss our ideas and concept with Mick that we felt at ease straight away
Once we filtered through the other offers it was pretty much a no brainer to go with Mick. Accommodating some issues that we came across with a yes, we can help with that or swap a day for that, all so smooth without issue
Once the build commenced visiting the site felt like the cleaners had just been before we arrived, several of the neighbours commented on how tidy the site was and how respectful the team was to the street. Little things like that certainly help with establishing new friends and neighbours, some don’t always have the same experience. We were ALWAYS in the loop with trades, progress, suggestions for improving finish and design and so on. We never felt in the dark about anything. If he didn’t have an answer to a question, he quickly found a solution. Quite often telling us “this is your home “if there is a way to make it work, we will do it. Mick was never far off if we had any questions or concerns and the team on site were the same, professional, courteous and dam good at their job, great to see so much pride in their work.
Well the final result was everything we had hoped for, all the advice from the other key trades just followed on from what we had experienced with Mick, everything in the right place, practical and useable and the result is just stunning.
